SOE Governance Reform

Most SOEs have been undergoing reform and restructuring to address effects of state capture and to transform them into efficient, financially self-sustaining entities. Post-elections, they are being moved from the department of public enterprises to their policy departments until they can migrate into the new holding company for SOEs that is yet to be established.

Appointment of NTCSA Board

The Board of Directors of the National Transmission Company of South Africa (NTCSA) has been appointed. The NTCSA forms part of Eskom’s unbundling process and started operations in July 2024.
