The draft Electronic Deeds Registration Systems (EDRS) Amendment Bill (2024) was out for public comment in April 2024. The Deeds Registries Amendment Bill, now enacted as Act 20 of 2024, which amends the Deeds Registries Act (1937), proposes a transition to a fully electronic system.
