Higher EAF

Eskom’s EAF has hovered around 55% year-to-date in 2024. This is despite a deliberate increase in planned maintenance that has the potential to bring the EAF down. The government was targeting an average EAF of 65% by March 2024. The energy action plan’s objective to improve the EAF does not appear to be working.
