About Krutham

 

Krutham is a research-led consultancy with specialist insight into policy in South Africa. We were commissioned by BLSA to develop and manage BLSA Tracker engine in February 2024.

The Tracker engine was developed by Krutham directors Peter Attard Montalto and Stuart Theobald. Individual Krutham analysts update each reform category:

Ntombizethu Diko and Lameez Omarjee: energy, water and JET-related reforms.

Thabani Madlala: OV phase 1 and phase 2 reforms; governance structures and professionalisation of the public service; criminal justice reforms including NPA, IPID governance structures.

Nduduzo Langa: public service governance, office holder propriety, electoral reform, improved education outcomes and skills, institutional reform, legislative developments, SARS upgrades and Zondo recommendations.

Tinashe Kambadza: financial sector reforms and all FATF processes for grey list removal.

Cecilia Schultz: OV2 reforms including freight logistics, passenger rail, deeds office reform, housing and spatial planning.
